About Time: Delay Analysis in Construction
[139923]
£47.50
£45.00
Construction projects frequently suffer from delays. For years construction industry professionals have struggled to unravel the causes and assess periods of delays without the assistance of up-to-date practical advice on the subject - until now.
"About Time" provides a straightforward reference for everyone working in the building and civil engineering industry who needs to understand delay claims. It contains clear explanations of:
- Various forms of construction programming techniques;
- How to monitor and record progress;
- How to analyse delays;
- Strengths and weaknesses of the different techniques;
- Requirements of the main standard forms of contract;
- Key English case law concerning construction delay claims;
- Different means of resolving disputes.
This book is written in simple English, free from acronyms and programmers' jargon, and tackles the difficulties of delay analysis head on. As a result About Time strips away the mystique surrounding the subject of delay analysis and reveals the limitations of the various methods of delay analysis commonly used.
