This text provides a translation of "Raschet tonkostennikh konstruktsii", Moscow, 1993. Development of the mixed method of structural mechanics for thin-walled space systems is presented and a variant of the exact technical theory of shells given for analysis of thin-walled structures of different types in linear and non-linear formulations. Analytical solutions are given for composite and solid (monolithic) thin-walled systems, rigid shells and assemblages of the lightweight type. Effective algorithms and results of numerical analysis for flexible shells and membranes are also presented, which duly account for geometric and physical non-linearities.
